After working with Verizon Wireless for the last four years, I recently made the transition to SDS on March 14th of this year. I am 27 years old, and a Milwaukee native. I transitioned to Atlanta four years ago following my mom’s move to Atlanta. I am in the process of finishing up and completing my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in marketing this May.
I always had a passion and a niche for Marketing. I knew in High School when working at a toy store, I wanted Marketing to be my career. Prior to my move to Georgia, I worked in cosmetology as a salon manager at Trade Secret. It was not until my transition into telecommunications that I developed an interested in IT, and focus on being knowledgeable in technology.
While I worked at Trade Secret, I enjoyed interacting with people, and generating ideas to enhance the products and services that we offered. At the age of 19, I became a manager at our Downtown Milwaukee location. My first store location, I started working with my Area Manager to market Trade Secret to compete with our competitors. A year later, I transition to our Brookfield location, where I had the success of getting the store to profit a million dollars. I would partner with Vendors that we work with, and modify our store layout to further open up the opportunities of product knowledge to customers and market our salon services. This was the first time I started getting a deeper role in Marketing for my location.
At Verizon, I started off in their Loyalty & Retention Department, converting over to regular Customer Service. During my time in Customer Service, I was a part of the Management Support Team, which I handle call quality, escalations, employee and floor support, and coaching opportunities to help with improvement and representative growth. After two years within Customer Service, I landed a role as a BSS (Business Solutions Specialists) within the BGCO (Business Government Customer Operations) Department. I handled high-risk business customers with small, medium, national and government accounts with difficulty and complex customer issues. During this role, I held dual roles including being a Sales Rep that provided strategic solutions for products and services, and supporting expansion of business.
When I am not working, I can be found spending time with my family. I am very family oriented. I have a wonderful boyfriend named Demar, two nieces named Jadah and Eyce-Vella, and three nephews named Taylor, Blaise and Otto. I have one sister and two brothers. I love to travel and have been taking advantage of any opportunity that presents itself. This year I will be going to Mexico and hope to explore other areas of the world in the future.
